Barbados Food & Rum Festival 2016
The seventh Barbados Food & Rum Festival (previously Food, Wine & Rum) will be held in Barbados from 17th to 20th November 2016 with a variety of events across the island celebrating Barbados as the ‘culinary capital of the Caribbean’.
We wouldn’t disagree. You'll discover some wonderful fine dining restaurants in Barbados and some fantastically tasty street food too. The choice of multi-cultural cuisines on offer is wide ranging and rum, of course, is interwoven into local culture.
Barbados is home to many renowned chefs and visiting chefs from around the World will be joining them to get involved in a wide range of events during the annual festival.
The festival opens on Thursday 17th November with the Oistins Bay Gardens Cook Off and is followed on Friday with the Signature Rum Event at the Concorde Museum. The Saturday afternoon Sprits of Polo (rum and canapés) is followed by the Saturday fine dining events (the Gourmet Safari) which pairs international chefs with local top chefs. The Sunday evening grand finale is at the Hilton Beach where the Sunday Beach Party Cook-off and food sampling takes place.
