Crystal Springs is an enchanting beachfront villa set on 1.7 acres on Barbados’ Platinum Coast. The 12,000 sq ft residence, with a staff of 14, comprises six beautiful buildings connected by coral stone terraces, pathways and a bridge.
There are a multitude of living spaces, three al fresco dining areas and 10 guest rooms, each featuring an en-suite bathroom, and luxurious amenities, making Crystal Springs an ideal villa for large groups or families looking for an intimate holiday retreat.
Created by legendary designer Oliver Messel in the 1960s and completely restored in 2014, Crystal Springs’ elegant facade, stylish decor and breathtaking views provide a magical, theatrical ambiance, though the impressive villa feels like a welcoming home.
The villa's amenities include a stunning 50 ft by 20 ft infinity swimming pool looking across the Caribbean Sea, a secluded cove beach ideal for sunbathing, swimming and snorkelling, an 18 ft speedboat with boat master, a state-of-the-art cinema, and a high-tech fitness centre. In addition, a Sunfish sailboat, paddle boards plus an array of water sport equipment are readily available.
Within the house itself, guests have ready access to the butler’s pantry which is fully stocked with daily necessities, including breakfast items, tea, coffee, snacks, soft drinks, juices, bottled water and bar.
Just off the living room is the dining portico, an elegant space for breakfast, lunch or candlelit dinners that can accommodate up to 20 people.
Below the dining portico is a beautiful cliff-top gazebo and barbecue area overlooking the sea, the setting is an ideal spot for casual family dining and can accommodate up to 16 people comfortably.
Adjacent to the Annex is a dining patio with a unique circular table built around an Almond tree that can accommodate up to 20 people. Shaded by oversized umbrellas, the patio is a unique setting for a casual lunch, or can be set with candles for a beautiful sunset meal or cocktail hour.
10 Guest Rooms
Crystal Springs features 10 en suite bedrooms situated in five buildings across the property, providing a unique accommodation offering, ideally suited for families and friends.
Each bedroom is luxuriously appointed with beautiful linens, quality furnishings and artwork; each with an enchanting view of the sea, gully or gardens through large windows framed by billowing floor to ceiling curtains. Most bedrooms feature king-sized mattresses that can be unzipped into two separate twin mattresses should the guest prefer.
The Main House features the master suite and two guest bedrooms.
The Annex, adjacent to the main house, offers two bedrooms with an elegant oceanfront terrace overlooking the Cove Beach. The bedrooms are each finished with handpainted murals, elegant linens and charming en suite bathrooms and unobstructed views of both the Caribbean Sea and private gully.
The Pool Cottage, overlooking the infinity edge swimming pool to the Caribbean Sea, offers two connecting guest bedrooms furnished in an elegant Caribbean style.
The Tea House, located in the garden adjacent the Gully, is a two-room cottage ideally appointed for young families, featuring both a king-sized bed and two Murphy beds.
The Pavilion, located in the garden at the eastern edge the property, offers two connecting guest suites.
Property owners tend to accept bookings over the Christmas and New Year period on stricter terms than at other times of year. In general, bookings are subject to a 14 night minimum stay but owners may require a 3 week booking in some cases and will often need to approve dates to fit with their own travel plans or those of other guests. A higher deposit of 50% of the total rental price is payable for such bookings and the balance becomes due earlier at 90 days before arrival.
All prices quoted above have been calculated based on information provided by the owners but are subject to confirmation during December and January as occasionally owners may insist on the higher Christmas rate being applied either side of the main Christmas period. We suggest you contact us for a firm price quotation at this time of year, before making your booking.

The above prices include all local taxes (VAT, Shared Economy Levy, Room Rate Levy as applicable) as well as any local service charges. A security deposit of US$10,000 will be required on arrival.
