A Family-Friendly Lunchtime Cruise with Silver Moon

If you’re looking for a relaxed way to see the west coast of Barbados from the water, Silver Moon offers a truly special experience that’s ideal for families, couples, and small groups alike. We enjoyed a lunchtime cruise aboard one of their elegant catamarans, and it reminded us why Silver Moon remains such a favourite with our guests.

There were just ten of us on board, a mix of couples and our group of four adults with one energetic toddler in tow. All Silver Moon shared charters will have a maximum of 12 passengers. After a warm welcome at the marina, we set off along the coast under that classic Bajan sunshine, drinks in hand and the breeze in our faces. The vibe on board was friendly but peaceful, and the crew struck the perfect balance of attentiveness and laid-back charm.

Silver Moon is well known for its fantastic crew, and they were brilliant throughout the trip. They helped our little one into the sea gently and patiently, making sure she felt safe and confident in the water. The real highlight? Spotting her very first turtle, which had her wide-eyed and beaming. It’s those little moments that really make a holiday.

Back on board, lunch was a generous buffet with all the familiar Bajan favourites. Think grilled chicken, rice and peas, fresh salads, and macaroni pie. We gathered around the table with the other guests and swapped stories over lunch before heading out for one last swim.

By the time we returned to shore, we were all worn out (not just the toddler). It was one of those slow, sunny days that leaves everyone happy, sandy, and ready for a nap.
