Four-bedroom villa on the Sandy Lane Estate, set on a quiet cul-de-sac with a private pool, a wide lawn and a covered terrace for alfresco dining. Access to the Sandy Lane Beach Club and a housekeeper five days a week make for an easy, relaxed stay for families and friends.
149 Salters Road is a four-bedroom villa on the prestigious Sandy Lane Estate in St. James, tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac within easy reach of the west coast beaches. Sleeping up to eight, it pairs traditional Caribbean charm with modern comforts, making it a relaxed base for families or friends travelling together.
The front door opens into an entrance hall and on to a striking double-height living room, with a staircase rising to a mezzanine gallery above. Comfortable sofas look out towards the terrace, and a separate sitting room has rattan armchairs beneath a beamed ceiling. The fully equipped kitchen has limed-wood cabinets, granite worktops and a breakfast bar with stools, while the dining room looks out over the garden. There is also a study, and the whole house is air-conditioned.
Outside, a covered terrace with a dining table looks across a wide lawn to the private pool, where sun loungers line the sun deck beneath a flamboyant tree. A gazebo and a BBQ grill add to the outdoor living space, the grounds are fully enclosed and there is a single garage.
Upstairs, the principal bedroom has a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a corner tub and walk-in shower, and opens onto a balcony with treetop views. Two further bedrooms on the upper floor share a bathroom, and the fourth bedroom, on the ground floor, has its own bathroom, which also serves as the powder room. Alongside the principal bedroom there is a queen bedroom and two twin rooms, and every bedroom is air-conditioned.
Staying on the Sandy Lane Estate gives you access to the Sandy Lane Beach Club, which is reserved for guests staying on the estate, and golf is close at hand. Please note that the facilities of the Sandy Lane Hotel are not available to villa guests. A housekeeper looks after the villa five days a week, and a cook can be arranged on request.
Holetown, with its restaurants, bars and shops, is a short drive away, as are the many restaurants along the west coast. Please note that 149 Salters Road is a non-smoking villa.

Prices include all local property fees (2.5%) and taxes (10% SEL).
Unlike some operators, we always include the local Barbados fees and taxes in our prices – this isn't added later. If you find any of our properties at a lower price elsewhere we promise to match it for you.
Property owners tend to accept bookings over the Christmas and New Year period on stricter terms than at other times of year. In general, bookings are subject to a 14 night minimum stay but owners may require a 3 week booking in some cases and will often need to approve dates to fit with their own travel plans or those of other guests. A higher deposit of 50% of the total rental price is payable for such bookings and the balance becomes due earlier at 90 days before arrival.
All prices quoted above have been calculated based on information provided by the owners but are subject to confirmation during December and January as occasionally owners may insist on the higher Christmas rate being applied either side of the main Christmas period. We suggest you contact us for a firm price quotation at this time of year, before making your booking.

I have a bit of a reputation amongst my friends and family for liking my holidays and as such do spend quite a lot of time researching destinations, hotels, villas, restaurants etc. Over the years I have built up a bit of a list of useful companies, agencies and contacts that I have come to rely upon in certain destinations around the world. I have to say that Lisa is right up there with the best in terms of helpfulness, attitude and responsiveness… …As far as Barbados is concerned I now have a new contact on my list and need look no further!Gary B
